Pluspunten
Excellent team. Pretty much everyone I directly interacted with was very sweet, easy to work/get along with. The work was organized and my project manager was attentive to their team to make sure no one was overloaded. 11 vacation days, summer (half day) Fridays, pretty awesome.
Minpunten
The PTO is weird, and it stressed me out. (14 days) is accrued over the course of a year, Feb 1-Jan 31, pretty normal. But come Jan 31, it's reset to 0, I've never heard of that. Because there is no rollover, every spring, our slowest time of year and the ideal time for a vacation… no one can take time off. Also, no system to check on your used/available hours. I found myself nervously hoarding my days. As with many companies these days, hiring remote workers really means hybrid, and hybrid really means creeping back into the office full-time. I felt lied to. The corporate culture... I’m sure some people like it, but to me, it was disingenuous toxic positivity. A tremendous amount of time was wasted in meetings, groups, ‘homework’ to discuss our values and take personality tests. Lots of fake smiles, surprise questions, and fluff answers, an introvert's nightmare.
