Micromanagement was common, with a lack of clarity on what the standard process was, as everyone did things a little bit differently. VisionPoint also focused on being feedback-oriented, but typically, feedback conversations were more negative, only focusing on what one was doing wrong rather than providing developmental support.
Management regularly asks for escalations on other employees as well, which just creates an anxious environment where most are afraid of making a mistake and feeling like they can't trust others.
While some employees were given flexibility and trust, others were held to different standards, which created an uneven and discouraging environment. It became clear very early on in my time at VP that favoritism was given.
I had a handful of experiences where management and leadership talked poorly about other employees. I was very disappointed in this.
