Career Growth? What's That? You'll hear all the right buzzwords — "growth," "opportunities," "next level" — but it’s all just noise. Years will go by, and you'll still be doing the exact same thing, waiting for that mythical promotion that never comes. Appraisals That Feel Like Insults: Be prepared for hikes so low they’d make inflation laugh. Low single digits, if you're lucky. Meanwhile, you're expected to stretch yourself thin and "go the extra mile." On-Call Exploitation: Want to be on-call 24/7 for 2-3 weeks straight? Sure! Just don’t expect to be fairly compensated — you’ll get a grand total of ₹7.5k for your troubles. That’s it. No matter how much you work. But hey, the country leads get free Volvos while the company is dying, so someone’s winning.
