The higher ups at the station love to toot their own horns for being number 1 for so long, but at the end of the day this has zero benefit to the average employee. It's pretty depressing to think of how many promising careers have probably been soured by the experience of working in a place like this, because honestly there are quite a few people who are super talented, but will never get the recognition or pay they deserve.
