Pluspunten

There are some truly talented individuals that work in the business

Minpunten

The entire business is let down by the founders, Richard (CEO) & Amanda (COO), who are completely inflexible in their approach to strategy, sales and management. I don't really know where to begin with Amanda—she is so difficult to work with. This is compounded by an insistence on mandatory office days with absolutely no flexibility unless you are clearly one of the founders' favourites. If Amanda does not understand a point or knowledge that you are sharing with her she will pretend to understand and then change the topic. She does not have the required skills to be COO and it is evident as why so many of their clients churn. Richard & Amanda are sadly misguided on what common best practices are, and have no idea how to set a sales organisation up for success. They have so much potential to improve their business if they were open to outside perspectives, yet they ignore and dismiss all feedback. Anyone that challenges them is exited from the business. The company is also currently performing badly financially and is making redundancies, which should be a major red flag for anyone considering joining. I wish anyone the best of luck trying to work with them—but if you're wanting a role with great learning opportunities to grow, develop & feel secure—this is not the place.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. While much of this feedback very closely mirrors a previous Glassdoor review, if these concerns come from someone currently on the team, we encourage you to speak with management directly so they can be fully understood and addressed. We’re proud of the talented individuals who make up our team and are sorry to hear when someone’s experience doesn’t meet their expectations. Not every decision or policy will suit everyone, and we aim to balance structure with flexibility, especially around hybrid working. We appreciate all feedback, including critical perspectives, as it helps us understand different viewpoints and continue to grow. On the financial front, like many businesses, we’ve made some adjustments in response to market conditions, including a limited number of role changes. These changes were necessary to support ongoing stability, and the business remains in a healthy position with continued investment in our people. While we don’t agree with every point raised, we do take all feedback seriously. Creating a positive work environment requires open and respectful conversations where concerns can be discussed and addressed. We encourage anyone with concerns to come forward and speak with management directly so we can work together toward the best possible outcomes.

Pluspunten

What I can say is that working here was an absolute masterclass in character building. The sales team I worked with was fantastic constantly supportive, and the healthy competition we had worked well to produce strong numbers and performance.

Minpunten

Unfortunately, the camaraderie in the trenches couldn’t mask the structural rot at the top. If you’re considering a role here, be prepared for the following: In my opinion, the COO is completely clueless regarding the department she oversees. She consistently lacks a basic grasp of what is happening on the ground. From what I observed during my time there, when a client didn’t renew, she found it almost impossible to accept that it may have been due to shortcomings in the product or service. Instead, it was often attributed to budget restrictions, or phrases like: “They didn’t want to leave, I’m sure they will come back,” and “We had a great relationship, but our champion left the company.” Going further, she comes across as a classic wolf in sheep’s clothing. Under the guise of protecting company “culture” (which I’ll touch on further below), I felt she was responsible for high-performing individuals being let go without clear justification. Her communication and leadership style often felt confrontational and dismissive, with a consistent “I’m right, you’re wrong” approach. Tread lightly. The CEO lacks even a shred of empathy and, quite frankly, does not appear to have the ability to run the company effectively. His decision-making was consistently poor, leading to abysmal results and a toxic atmosphere. On occasion, he threatened to sack entire teams on a whim. If there is one positive, it’s his intelligence and his knowledge of AI. Hostility During Family Emergencies: This is not a “family-friendly” workplace. When team members faced family illness or emergencies and needed to work from home, leadership’s response was not sympathetic, it was often met with threats of termination. It was made clear that working from home in these circumstances, whether to care for ill family members/pets or to handle emergencies, was considered unacceptable. The leadership is so stuck in the past that they view fun as a distraction, often calling out anyone for laughing, smiling, or showing any sign of joy. The very people who helped lift morale were let go because they didn’t fit a rigid, joyless mould of what leadership believes a workplace “culture” should look like.

Whilst we love honest feedback (which includes the tough items) there are a few items here that don’t add up. Being an SDR at WMC requires hard work, determination and resiliency - it’s not for everyone. We have a high bar for performance and invest heavily in enablement tools / support for ramping SDRs. We often hear appreciation for the investment we make in our tools to assist the team. We do support time off for emergencies within our team provided the requests are genuine and sincere. When this is the case we are incredibly supportive and understanding. We are an office first company, providing a hybrid approach of three days in the office and two WFH. We will always be proud of our in office philosophy where the opportunity to grow and work alongside talented individuals and to be recognised for achievements within an in person team setting is very important to us. This is especially important for the SDR function who are partnered with an AE. This relationship is very important for SDR development in particular and we feel is more rewarding in an office setting. Cultural fit in terms of the ability to listen and support wider team members alongside maintaining professional conduct within an environment which supports stakeholders operating at the highest level is also who we are. Again this does not suit everyone and not everyone succeeds. Contributing to WMC’s culture is just as important as targets and again not everyone succeeds here. We are pleased that you felt the team members within the company were great - you are right they are great. We are proud to partner with them and lucky to have them on our journey. We are pleased that this aspect of your role was a positive experience for you. If you are a past employee, we would welcome the opportunity to talk to you about your experience. Pluspunten

Amazing technology. Some of the things we sell no other company can do. A genuine differentiator in the market. Amazing opportunity, worldwide remit. Lots of money can be made. The owners are genuinely nice and care about employees. Work hard and you'll be rewarded. Simple as that. Nice colleagues too.

Minpunten

Lots of opportunity, don't think we fully know how to capitalise on it all, but that's often natural with an SME, in particular when you're up against other players in the market who are much bigger.
