Pluspunten
The people at Webfor are incredibly friendly and create a welcoming environment. The company values its employees, acknowledging good work and offering a plethora of peer-to-peer learning resources such as webinars and lunch-and-learns. Feedback and strategy ideas are genuinely welcomed from all team members, making it feel like a collaborative and encouraging workplace.
Minpunten
However, the leadership team lacks sufficient digital marketing experience, which is a significant drawback. The account managers, who serve as the main point of contact for clients, are not adequately trained in various digital marketing areas. They often struggle with the right reports, tools, and overall knowledge to showcase the value provided by the company’s analysts and specialists. When sitting in on client meetings or reading suggested email responses to client questions regarding SEO, paid search, or social media, I often found that the answers or explanations given were completely off. In many cases, a quick Google search would reveal the total opposite of what was communicated to clients. At the end of the day, it starts at the top -- if department heads lack experience and the ambition to educate themselves, how can their team expect to be trained effectively? While managers may encourage feedback, it is extremely rare for the leadership team to actually listen and implement any suggestions. The company seems to focus more on what they want to do rather than what they are skilled at, leading to frequent mishaps, like spelling errors in social media posts and claiming to be PPC experts despite laying off the only knowledgeable staff members in that area. This company is more suited for interns who are just starting out and want a taste of agency life. Unfortunately, the last few months that I did work at Webfor, it felt like the company was just slow dancing in a burning room, and it appears they are still struggling...which is a shame because during my 6 months or so there, it felt like there was so much potential waiting to be realized.
