Pluspunten

I've been able to work with some of the most brilliant, talented, and down-to-earth people here. The CEO has an exciting vision for the future. He’s innovative, curious, and I believe has a growth mindset. It was one of the things I loved most about this company. I do think he cares about our well-being. There are actually several great leaders on the team. Working remote is also great if that’s your thing.

Unfortunately, the culture is a shell of what it was. It's unfortunate that many employees of color were impacted by the recent staff reductions. The very things that made WorkRamp extraordinary, the people, and the ability to challenge ideas without the fear of retribution, a healthy work/life balance, flexibility, trust, transparency, and a strong sense of community, is all but gone. Despite the people team's earnest attempts to uplift the vibe with nice perks like development-focused time off, it doesnt scratch the surface. I know that these challenges can come up as a company's is growing. But in this case, it goes beyond this. It stems from questionable leadership hiring and coaching decisions. Tension pervades throughout the team, and the current leadership seems ill-equipped to guide us out of this downturn and back to the path of success. Several teams have been given goals that are simply unattainable. It feels as if we're all just plastering on a brave face waiting for the next wave of layoffs to hit. While it's true that the company is actively hiring for specific roles, it's important to call out that many of these openings exist due to people leaving because they were burnt out, or as replacements for positions that were previously eliminated during the staff reductions.

It’s disappointing to hear that your current experience isn’t meeting the expectations we have for our culture and the way we work. If you are open to it I would like to have a confidential discussion to learn more about your experience, as it is different from the information we are seeing/hearing in our pulse surveys and small group discussions. As I hope you have seen, when we are provided with feedback we try our best to incorporate it and improve (true to our #alwaysbeimproving value). We genuinely want to hear from our employees and are open to brainstorming on how to uplift our culture even further. Pluspunten

Lots of room & trust to own what you're doing. Micromanagement only occurs if you're not performing and expectations were clearly communicated. Product is a leading contender in the space and consistently improving.

Minpunten

Upward mobility was tight due to the tech downturn.
