They presented themselves as a large, serious company in Estonia, but my experience with Yolo Group was the opposite. It felt more like a “bubble company” than a mature organization. The recruitment process was chaotic from the start. The technical interview was postponed several times due to constant production issues they had to resolve, which was the first red flag. When the interview finally took place, the technical leads were hostile, frequently interrupting me and behaving rudely throughout the conversation. Communication during the process was poor. I constantly had to ask for updates, and the recruiter appeared disorganized and unclear about next steps. The relocation process was equally problematic. They provided only a one-way ticket, even though my visa had not yet been approved, which led to stressful, last-minute issues at the airport that I had to resolve on my own. Once inside the company, the work environment proved to be very toxic. Many leads and managers lacked the qualifications and soft skills required for their roles, yet they continued to receive promotions. Transparency around career growth and promotions was almost nonexistent. Additionally, I later realized I had been misled during hiring: I applied for a senior role, but was ultimately offered and placed in a mid-level position. The experience ended with massive layoffs, and I was among those affected. Overall, the company seems to rely heavily on crypto speculation to project the image of a large, successful organization, but internally it lacks solid processes, clear identity, and professional management.
