This program is more of a budget saving move than it is a training move for the agency. 5 Months to learn about two functions of a business might seem great but after two weeks it felt like being an intern more so than a full-time employee. There seems to be a general idea that this program is the best there is but if you are someone who is already exposed to media through coursework or previous internships, you will quickly find yourself losing motivation. This is more of an internship and from day one that will be very clear. Interns seemed to have more responsibilities than the trainees and there is a final project that is more of your college group project nightmare rather than something meaningful. There is also a lot of talk about how they will not promote a trainee to an assistant position during the duration of the program but at the same time will break their own rules and talk about "the needs of the business". This is total BS on their end and it is clear that the program itself is just another way for the agency to save money as they are losing business. Overall, the people who you are working around with may be the only thing that keeps you coming in each day if you are someone who is experienced in media. If you are someone who has no background in advertising and have no idea what a CPM is or what digital means then this is your program to apply to.
