The people outside of management were wonderful. I loved everyone I worked closely with.

I'll start with their handling of COVID-19. They laid off around 100 or so people around April 2020, despite the business facing NO FINANCIAL HARDSHIP due to the pandemic. They went public two months later, for god's sake - they were fine. So they opted they put dozens of people out of work in the middle of a massive financial crisis for no reason? After we saw our coworkers disappear from Slack and were understandably nervous, they never fully explained the layoffs. It was addressed MONTHS later in a sentence or two in a Q&A email. I think it's disgusting that they used COVID-19 as an excuse to "trim the fat" when the business was actually thriving. It's just one example of ZI leadership caring about people more than profit (despite putting "we're successful because of our people!" all over social media). I'll add one other point - there are a handful of people leading the company who are certifiably bad people. It's almost a joke among the employees - "oh, do not cross so-and-so, he will actually try to make you cry". Maybe you won't have to deal with these people in your own work, but do you want to work at a company that allows this behavior to continue? HR clearly doesn't care about serious workplace complaints when it comes to certain individuals. It sends the message - it's fine for certain leaders to create a hostile work environment as long as they're making the business tons of money. These are just a couple of problems out of many, but if I wrote about everything it would be a novel. Believe the negative reviews, and don't take the positive ones at face value. Many of these were left because an HR rep pressured them to leave positive reviews - I actually left a 5-star review because of this a while back.

ZoomInfo has genuinely been unlike any organization I have worked for in my career, and I say that as someone who has seen a lot of workplace cultures up close. It is literally my job. From day one, I was given full autonomy to run my desk with agency and ownership. There is no micromanagement here. If you are a subject matter expert in your field, senior leaders will actually defer to you, listen to you, and trust your judgment. That kind of partnership w/ hiring managers is rare, and it makes a real difference in how you show up every day. The peer support has been unmatched. There is no gatekeeping, no withholding of information, no politics around getting ahead. My colleagues genuinely want to see each other succeed. It is a true "rising tide lifts all boats" culture. When one person wins, we all win. The environment is supportive, encouraging, and welcoming in a way I have not experienced anywhere else. What also sets ZoomInfo apart is the investment senior leadership makes in equipping their teams for success. We are given the tools and tech stack needed to do our jobs at the highest level and there is absolutely no skimping here. The sky truly is the limit when it comes to learning, growing, and leveraging technology that empowers you to do a stellar job. Whether you are in sales, engineering, or talent acquisition, you will have access to best-in-class resources that amplify your impact from day one. Beyond the people and the tools, ZoomInfo is a company with a clear mission and the momentum to back it up. As someone in Talent Acquisition, I see firsthand the quality of people this company attracts and the genuine excitement candidates feel when they learn about the role and the culture. That says everything. When your own candidates are energized before they even join, you know you are working somewhere special. If you are wired for ownership, thrive in a high-energy environment, and want to work alongside people who genuinely want to see you succeed, ZoomInfo is your place. Here, you do not just contribute. You make things happen, fast.

The pace is fast and the expectations are high, but for the right person, that is a feature, not a bug. If you prefer a slower, more structured environment, this may take some adjustment. Come ready to own your work and move with purpose.

ZoomInfo has an incredible company culture that truly stands out-- even working remotely, you feel connected and part of something bigger. The company has a strong focus on being a leader in its space and is constantly innovating, which keeps the work exciting and meaningful. There is a genuine willingness to let ideas and concepts flourish, and employees are empowered to contribute in real ways. I am coming up on four years here, which speaks for itself-- this is a place where you can grow, get promoted quickly, and build a real career. The development resources are outstanding, including McKinsey Leadership programs, internal leadership courses, and LinkedIn Learning. Managers are supportive and invested in your success which makes showing up to work exciting
Minpunten
At times, communication between departments can be a challenge at the individual contributor level, which can make cross-functional collaboration feel a bit siloed. Additionally, there is still work to be done around diversity in leadership-- increasing representation of people of color and women in leadership roles would make an already great culture even stronger.
