Sweat shop atmosphere as soon as you’re hired. You are put against coworkers who are favorited with Ring Central so they can achieve any sales goals. Only thing is that a handful of people get ring central and they make it a secret who does but compares everyone to them. It’s like playing baseball and some people are on steroids and get praised for it. Very buddy, buddy, good ol boys club vibes there. Daily camera on Zoom meetings at 8am that are mandatory. Management can be as clueless as you are because they were thrusted in the position based off constant layoffs. They make you come into the office to make calls all day on a lid sales floor because they claim it’s more productive than being at home. There’s no longevity there, just a ok job for coming out of college. They want to you get 50 completed meetings a month no matter what or you’re fired. The only real good part of the job was working OT at your leisure and some snacks on site. The CEO mad an announcement saying we were going to come in the office three days a week max and an hour later the VP made another announcement saying it will be a mandatory four day work week in office. This place is a joke.

Thanks for sharing your experience as an employee of our Sales org. Our culture is fast-paced and yes it’s demanding but we are making great strides in our learning and developing offerings to ensure our employees thrive and can find a great work-life balance. For the Sales team in particular, we’ve instituted end-of-quarter no-internal-meetings week to help our employees balance their workload. And recently instituted two 2.5-hour no-meetings blocks per week company-wide. And we are constantly evaluating the organization, ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles to drive our long-term growth and success. With many new managers on board, we offer targeted learning programs for our managers to continue to grow their skills in giving feedback and coaching. Our VPs are allowed to adjust expectations at their discretion and we outlined very clearly our return to office expectation for SDRs stating they will be in the office 4 days a week in September. Sorry ZI wasn’t a fit and we wish you all the best.

At times, communication between departments can be a challenge at the individual contributor level, which can make cross-functional collaboration feel a bit siloed. Additionally, there is still work to be done around diversity in leadership-- increasing representation of people of color and women in leadership roles would make an already great culture even stronger.
