Pluspunten
- Flexibility: Although you have to work 40 hours a week, you can create your own schedule.
- Culture: I always felt accepted and respected by everyone. Team members really care for you and are always happy to help.
- Growth Opportunities: Training programs are being implemented. Management also considers your wants and will try to provide new challenges that go according to that.
- Work-life balance: It's very rare to go over the 40 weekly hours. Even if we have deadlines, management will try to rearrange them so that you don't have to overwork.
- Creativity: For the most part, you're left on your own devices. There's structure to our content, but the way you write it is up to you, and being creative is something that is encouraged.
- Open to feedback: Providing and receiving feedback is something constant at clovio. While there are people in management positions, everyone is treated equally, and no one is above critique. This makes you really feel that you can speak up and tell management when something doesn't need to be improved. And, while not all changes will be made, management hears you and takes your feedback into consideration before saying 'no'.
- Benefits: In addition to flexibility and a decent base salary, the company provides other benefits as well, including health insurance, a studio in Lisbon for those who prefer to work in an office, company laptop, among others.
- Management: In my experience, I always felt that management had my best interests in mind, both professionally and in my personal life.
Minpunten
It's a fast-growing small company. Likewise, it suffers from some of the usual growing pains of such businesses.
- Processes: Processes still need to be streamlined. While there are a lot of internal guidelines to help everyone to be on the same page, it's still confusing to understand how to proceed sometimes.
- Time- and activity-tracking software: While I understand the reason why we need to use time-tracking software, I also understand why it can be anxiety-inducing, especially for newcomers.
