- Great team: The team at Clovio is very welcoming and open to ideas and feedback. I felt right at home from the start. - Challenging projects: I was given the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, which helped me learn a lot and grow as a professional. - Opportunities for growth: Clovio is a growing company, which means there are always opportunities for growth. I was able to take on more responsibility as my internship progressed.

- Lack of documentation. Some of the useful figures aren't included in the extensive guide you receive before starting. I depended on other people to answer some of my questions which could have been avoided if I knew where those figures were available.

Thank you for choosing clovio as the organization for your internship! We welcome interns with open arms, as it’s an enriching experience for us as a company too. Interns tend to bring on board new ideas and approaches based on their recent studying experience and offer fresh views on what we do. We host interns at our clovio Studio in Lisbon, Portugal, where they receive complimentary accommodation in our Guest Suite. We’re happy to provide this facility, as we take pride in looking after our interns. We have several roles and programs for internships, each with a skills test that helps potential interns learn about the role prior to starting. Based on talks with our interns and the outcome of these skills tests, we establish a tailor-made internship program that suits their goals and interests. Our documentation is continuously updated as our teams establish and refine existing concepts and processes. We collectively work towards keeping our information and data as up to date as possible to facilitate workflows and decision making. Everyone at clovio is aware of the importance of this, considering we have an expanding international team that applies our business model in numerous markets and industries. Through the follow-ups with our interns, we like to learn more about their learnings and ambitions as the internship progresses. We’re happy to reward the ambitions and efforts of interns by giving them more responsibilities. Only consider taking the job if you are at early stages of your carreer, “flexible hours” BUT you absolutely have to work full 8 hours otherwise the app the company uses to track productivity identifies it as idle time and take screenshot of your screen - literally - every 5 minutes. Not including the CEO, the rest of the team is nice and super friendly.

Crazy micromanagement from the CEO, I have never seen this before and when I tell stories to other colleagues in other companies, they are usually shocked. Management does not take feedback well and only listen to what it wants. Not much interaction with different departments and absolutely no onboarding and training provided. The CEO sends you a huge pdf document written by previous colleagues so you can read and figure it out by yourself. I would say stay here only for the time you need to help make your CV look stronger, but leave as soon as you can. Growth opportunities are also very limited.

In the time that passed between your two reviews, we have witnessed clovio’s team doubling with existing team members staying on board for seven years or more, and new members being onboarded. The growth of clovio is supported by team members receiving promotions and becoming managers of a team. They are assisted in HR related matters, with guidance from both management and through external training. The friendliness and support of our team members is a result of our inclusive company culture where efforts are being rewarded. As a remote-first company, we feel it’s important that our entire team contributes to the writing of our internal processes. This means that everyone’s on the same page and can guide each other in the best way possible. We indeed offer great flexibility as this is how we achieve optimal creativity for the audiences of our media brands to enjoy. With this freedom comes the responsibility of making the most of the time we all commit to clovio. The use of our time and activity tracking app facilitates this flexibility and freedom. clovions can dedicate their time to tasks and projects as required. When there isn’t progress on tasks and projects, we are inclined to look into this with the team member to ensure that we understand the challenges faced and can help the employee accomplish their goals .
