iD Tech has a great company culture expected of a summer camp. That being said, the management staff really went above and beyond in creating a supportive environment and making the staff feel cared for, I never felt underappreciated or forgotten by any of my bosses. It's also a good way to test yourself under pressure and practice debugging and oral communication so I definitely feel like I learned a lot as an employee of iD Tech. All of my coworkers felt commited to the job and the end of the week was always the most gratifying.

Main stress from the job came from lack of support by iD Tech as a company. I had two different bosses and experience differed greatly between the two, and none of the management staff is qualified in supporting kids with extreme behavioral/emotional issues, so if you get a child who does need more support, you're kind of just told to try your best and hope the kid is happy by the end of the week with minimal disruptions. That being said, management was very vocal about helping out whenever possible, but iDTech as a company just doesn't have the positions that are needed to be hired. This creates a situation that's unfair to both the instructor and the student who deserves to experience the camp as a similar level to other students. Additionally, some of these problems are further pushed by having multiple classes of different age groups and curricula in one classroom. iDTech also pushes for uniform breaks regardless of if you're teaching a 17 or a 7-year-old, which is just unrealistic. As well, pay is pretty low, even for other jobs of similar types in the area, and I worked overtime basically every week (with one day stretching to 14~ hours). And with any job working with kids, you will have some children that want to intentionally make your job harder, but on the bright side, you learn a lot of restraint and patience due to it.
