Pluspunten
You can carve out a niche for yourself and hide from the powers-that-be if you're the type of person who just likes to focus on excelling with his or her work. Co-workers (not management) are generally pleasant to deal with (with a few WILD exceptions), and some of the people in my department were fantastic and ultimately are what got me through the days.
Minpunten
If something goes wrong, no matter how small, you can expect it to be blown out of proportion straight into the stratosphere. Don't expect anyone to ever take your word for anything. Management is asleep at the wheel and never acts to keep the staff informed or to hear you out during conflicts. If someone is senior to you, their word will be taken as gospel, even when there is irrefutable proof to the contrary. It's a pretty tenuous daily grind. There are a few good people, but by and large, do not expect anyone to care about you or, indeed, do anything but cut throats looking out for themselves. Radio is a sinking ship, and everyone seems to know that. Everyone always looked sad and beaten down. Bad days were terrible. Expect to be laid off at a moment's notice, regardless of your history/performance.
