I was treated awfully at this company. I was extremely unhappy and made to feel worthless. I was purposely left out of meetings that I would expect to be involved in. I would be told I didn't need to join, even though it's very small company and ALL of my colleagues were invited except me. There was no meeting rooms so I would watch everyone have the meeting a few desks away from me, whilst I was the only one not allowed to join. I would have management ask my colleague to tell me what my tasks are or what "I've done wrong", even though I'm in the same room and can hear their conversations. I didn't understand why management wouldn't just approach me directly. Like I say it's a very small company so it wasn't necessary to "pass" messages on to me... I'm literally sitting on the next table and can hear everything. He didn't do this with anyone else. And on the odd occasion when I was spoken to by him, his tone of voice was patronising. I felt like I was discriminated for absolutely no reason at all and it made me doubt my ability and question whether I was a good employee. I had 5 years experience, I kept to myself and worked hard so I didn't understand what the issue was. I did everything I was asked to do, and was praised by my colleagues, so why did management feel the need to purposely exclude me. It almost felt sexist. After speaking with other colleagues, I found out I wasn't the only one who was unhappy with management. I raised my concerns with the CEO who basically told me I was in the wrong and was making it up and if it bothered me that much I should leave. It was a shame because my colleagues were so lovely (all male so you can see why I felt discriminated when I was the only one being treated like this). Most completely understood and wasn't shocked at all and told me I deserve better
