The first interview I had was a brief sit-down interview with the manager. Before I met him, I was super nervous and remember being in awe as I watched several young, well dressed professionals do their business about the office. Every single one introduced themselves to me and struck up a brief conversation, wanting to know how my day was, where I was from, and what my interests were. The manager was dressed well and was very friendly too. It made me feel comfortable because interviews make me nervous! He asked a few questions about myself, my background, and what it was I was looking for in a new position and my future. He also briefly explained the company as a competitive sales and marketing company that represented many different clients and developed entry level people into a leadership and management role! The first interview was short and to the point, designed as a meet-and-greet. I was told I would receive a call in the afternoon if I was to be invited back for a second round interview, which would be either a day-long job shadow or a sit-down to go over more specifically the clients they worked with and what the opportunity advancement looked like. I did receive an invite back for a second round interview, which was a sit-down with the manager. It took a few hours and he went over the clients they worked with, the daily schedule, the pay scale, and ultimately the kind of people he was looking for to join their team. He talked to me about the travel opportunities, the team environment, and the desire to work hard and be around positive people. It was very interactive and I enjoyed the time spent, even if I wasn't offered a position. I was told that I would receive a phone call if I was to be offered a position.
