I had a positive initial interview with the HR representative who then scheduled a follow-up interview with the hiring manager. Both interviews went well, and I followed up with a thank-you email. A week later, I reached out for an update and was told to be patient, with encouraging words from the HR representative who said she was rooting for me. I felt confident I was a good fit for the role given my experience.
Three weeks later, I followed up again for any updates, but it has now been two additional more weeks with no response. While the overall interview experience was positive, the lack of communication at the end was disappointing. I understand that they are conducting multiple interviews, but it would have been courteous to provide updates on the status of my application, whether positive or negative.
I had a good impression of the company initially, but this experience has made me hesitant to consider future opportunities with them. The way the process was handled reflects on the respect an employee might receive at the company. Just as candidates are evaluated, companies are also being assessed by potential employees. Despite the HR representatives being very pleasant, the lack of communication was a significant letdown.
