During my interviews with this company, I was asked in front of four interviewers whether I had any history of mental illness. In the following interview, I was asked the exact same question again. Questions about medical or mental health history are illegal even in Japan, and I found this extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. It was disappointing to see this coming from a company that claims to develop “world-class” games. However, if the goal of their interview was to test “cultural fit,” they have succeeded — just not in the way they might have intended.
