Applied online through the vacancies portal and within 2 weeks had been contacted to se up and informal phone interview. At the end of this interview i was sucessful and was invited to an assessment day with role play scenarios, a formalised panel interview and written task with scenario-based questions to answer as part of this

Interview (I was an internal candidate) was poorly briefed, with an exercise which favoured existing team members' knowledge. The candidate appointed was from within the team, which then enabled other team members to move around and avoid a likely headcount reduction / redundancy scenario. One of the interviewers moved into the role vacated by the successful candidate. All seemed very staged. Poor questions including asking me why I wanted to jon the charity (already an employee) and what my notice period is (there was already a process for managing internal transfers).
