Sollicitatiegesprek
I applied to be a procedure writer for Dovenmuehle. I got a call from a woman in HR on August 15th. We talked briefly about what the job would entail, how much I would be paid and why I'm interested in the position. Everything seemed fine so far. She said she needed to "check with another department" before she could set up my interview, even though she claimed she was from HR. She said she'd email me once she had all the info. I never received an email yesterday.
August 16th I got a call from her at 1:50pm. I was in my current job so I couldn't check the call until later. She claimed she had set up an interview time. She said tomorrow at 8am. I could barely believe this because that's earlier than I've ever had an interview, and every other time I've interviewed the potential employer checks with you AT LEAST ONCE before you book the slot. Even so, I was still interested and willing to interview.
I called her number back and she was not available. I left her a voicemail. I called the first number she had called me at. I reached a different woman who asked me which department I was looking for. I explained my situation and shared the HR woman had not emailed me yesterday OR today. She said, "Okay, hang on one moment." I was on hold for about 2 minutes, and then she hung up on me.
That is the most unprofessional experience I have ever sat through from any business, ever. Any company worth value would not treat anyone that way, regardless of being a client or not.
