The interview process for the Skills and Development Coach role at First Intuition was thorough yet supportive. It began with an initial phone screening where I discussed my background, teaching experience, and understanding of apprenticeship standards. This was followed by a formal interview via video call with a member of the management team and a senior coach. During the interview, I was asked competency-based questions related to learner support, assessment, safeguarding, and time management. I also delivered a short presentation on how I would support a struggling learner through their apprenticeship. The panel was friendly and professional, and I appreciated how the process focused not only on my technical skills but also on my ability to build relationships and motivate learners.

Initial screening for about 20 minutes and then 1st interview was a competency based interview for around 40 minutes with 2 Team Leaders where they asked a range of questions based on what I would need to do in the role.
A very friendly process with clear communication throughout; although I was unsuccessful, the experience was a positive one. From the initial conversation through to the first stage interview, FI were warm and open in their approach.
