During the hiring process, there are two different phone interviews. The interviews are not hard . The company is looking for a passionate person who is not afraid to step in the role of a salesperson. Then come the onboarding program to obtain licenses in order to secure your position place with the company.

The process was straight forward. Did a selling activity (sell me this pen) that was strange and outdated but understandable in the moment. Went over all the company positives and stated there was no cold calling, but upon hiring it was 85% cold calls especially during the off season

Described the position as 'micromanagey', made it clear that the top performers have a lot of latitude with how they do their job, while if you're struggling you'll be micromanaged and relegated to job duties that you were promised you wouldn't do, like cold calling. After being guaranteed staying remote by HR so I'd continue on with my application, in the final interview I was told that's not the case. I wasn't offered the job after explaining that I wasn't able to come into the Chicago office due to the commute. Also I dressed up for a video interview and spoke with a guy in a wrinkled hoodie and baseball cap sitting in a dank dark unfinished basement surrounded by exercise equipment. I left this interview process with the conclusion that if you aren't desperate/only motivated by money they don't think you'd be an effective rep, which says a lot about the environment you'd be working in.

It was an average phone interview. This position requires mostly outbound calling and working on overdrive around open enrollment. If you are that kind of go getting salesman, then this is a good fit. The recruiter was very kind.
