The interview consisted of an initial screening with the recruiter, followed by an informal chat with the PI. I was then told to give a a ~40 min presentation of my PhD works at a later date after the first meeting with the PI. I got many questions during the interview from the PI and postdocs of the lab, all about my work. They were critical but fair. The interview ended after a few hours meeting with the lab members, all over zoom because I am an international candidate. The decision came almost four months later because a few candidates were also interviewed. I had to reach out to the PI and recruiter for an update regularly.
