No respect for their candidates. I was contacted by HR asking if I would be interested in applying for an open position. The email indicated I had 3 days to respond with interest to interview. I immediately emailed back indicated I would like to interview and received an automatic email saying the person was out of town for 12 days and to contact person X or person Y. I emailed person X and received an auto reply that they were out of town and to contact the original HR person (you know, the one out of town). I emailed person Y who said they didn’t know any details but they probably weren’t going to interview anyone until the original person was back. A couple weeks passed and I got an email on a Thursday saying they wanted to schedule an interview on Monday, and giving me the choice of 2 times, right in the middle of the day. In order to interview, I had to arrange to take the day off work at the last minute. The interview was fine, the staff conducting them are always very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. They use some required questions that are culturally insensitive. Two weeks have passed since my hastily scheduled and seemingly urgent interview and I have heard absolutely nothing back- not an expected timeline for future steps, not an offer, not even an auto-rejection letter. The whole thing left a really bad taste in my mouth- really disrespectful of the people they’re asking to interview.
