What a complete waste of time and energy! The interviewers seemed like a bunch of inexperienced PhD holders who landed high-paying jobs in a Middle Eastern company and never got a real actual working experience. The system design questions were so vague that it felt like they were playing a guessing game. They did not specify the goals, the end users, the constraints or the actual context. I had to keep asking them to explain what they want, They couldn't even differentiate between an API key and a token. It was clear they were unprepared and lacked experience, turning the interview into a frustrating puzzle to try decipher the meaning of their questions rather than a meaningful discussion. This company seriously needs to invest in training their interviewers and provide clearer questions to properly assess candidates. It felt like another technology company in Abu Dhabi where connections (Wasta) matter more than actual technology expertise. Even the HR department was completely out of touch and scheduled interviews without consent or approval. They just send you a Teams Invite and you have to figure it out. Save yourself the trouble and don't waste your time there. It's clear that the company's interview process and overall organization are severely lacking.
