I applied online for bay area office position. After a couple of days, their recruiter approached. The fist round was a recruiter phone screening. Then he sent me a machine learning challenge. After the challenge, I talked to two team members separately mostly talking about the challenge and my background. Then was invited to onsite for three rounds of technical discussions with team members and VP. After the interview with VP, he gave me the impression that they will make an offer. Later asked for another two rounds of remote technical interview. All went well in my opinion. In the end they decided to move forward with another candidate. It was a really lengthy process but everybody was completely professional and respectful.

One DL coding question. Not much hint or help during the coding. When I asked a question at the end, the interview gave a very short answer showing his disinterest, which did not feel good.
