Did you happen to catch the 36th Annual Lakeshore Holiday parade in Manitowoc? The Alliance Laundry Systems float was named "Best of Parade!" Our team members spend weeks every year working on their holiday float. We appreciate their festive spirit!!
Congratulations to the FIRST® LEGO® League! Alliance Laundry Systems is very proud to sponsor this dynamic and talented group of Ripon kiddos. They range in age from 9 to 13 and they use teamwork and creativity to compete with other teams for various awards and to advance to the next level of competition. They solve real-world problems, learn coding and robot design, and they have fun! The Ripon team, called LEGO Multiverse, competed last weekend in the Regional at Lakeshore College in Cleveland, WI. They secured 4th place out of 30 teams in the robot mission competition, and their prototype of a quieter propeller won them the Engineering Excellence Award. The team moves on to the Sectionals competition in December. The Head Coach is our very own Naomi Magadanz, Continuous Improvement Leader and several team members are children of Alliance employees.
Happy Halloween from Alliance Laundry Systems team! Our very own Speed QUEENS
October is Manufacturing Month! Alliance Laundry Systems is proud to be taking steps to create a more sustainable future. In 2019, Alliance purchased the former Manitowoc Crane Company plant. We have made many improvements to the 330,000 square foot facility. The site currently houses the Alliance Plastics and Sub-assembly teams and ships components to other Alliance locations including the plant in Ripon. In addition to making the lighting and heating and cooling systems more energy efficient, Alliance installed eight new electric-powered injection molding presses. The updated electric presses use significantly less energy than previous hydraulic models. Overall, the improvements add up to a $270,000 annual savings in energy costs.
October is Manufacturing Month! Alliance Laundry Systems is not only creating amazing opportunities today, but we’re planning for a strong, sustainable future. It takes a lot of water to test our washing machines, and we work hard to capture and reuse as much of it as we can. 80% of the water used in our US research and testing labs is recycled. Just this year, we installed a new water recycling system in our washer production area. It's saved more than 2.6 million gallons of water since February!
Our recruiting team had the opportunity to attend the UW-Oshkosh Fall Internship & Career Fair! We had a great time speaking with students about how they can create the future of laundry! Didn't get a chance to stop by? Reach out to our team to learn more about our opportunities!
Our recruiting team had a blast at Iowa State University for their Engineering Career Fair! Our TA Specialists were able to bring our current Mechanical Engineering Co-Op student Mitchell Wood who attends Iowa State. Hailey Cason, TA Specialist, said Mitchell's "professionalism and enthusiasm reflect the strength of our team, and it’s inspiring to see him share his experience and insights with fellow students. We’re committed to supporting young talent and are thrilled to see our co-op students helping build connections that will shape the future of engineering!" Way to go team!
Working hard and playing hard! Our team members in Ripon and Manitowoc took a little break this week to celebrate our beautiful Wisconsin weather, enjoy some time together, and mark another successful season at Alliance Laundry Systems. This team, along with the generations that came before them, have made us the world leader in commercial laundry equipment. We are proud and grateful.
Through Alliance Laundry Cares, we are proud to support organizations like Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, INC. with donations of new laundry equipment. Huge thank you to our countless team members who make these donations possible by giving their time and talent to deliver and install the machines. Working together, we make our communities cleaner and brighter!
Our amazing interns and TA team rolled up their sleeves and made a difference in the community! August 13th, they volunteered at the Berlin Boys and Girls Club for Operation Backpack, an incredible initiative that provides essential school supplies to kids in need! A huge thank you to Berlin Boys and Girls Club for hosting such a meaningful event and allowing us to be part of this important cause. Together, we're helping to ensure every child has the tools they need for a successful school year!
