Last week Citco attended the Airline Economics Growth Frontiers 2022 conference, marking the largest gathering in aviation since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted in Dublin, Conor Blake joined industry leaders to discuss how the current geopolitical situation has led to increased insurance premiums, a narrowing focus on certain countries or regions in regards to risk exposure, alongside a drive for more efficient, “greener” engines and aircrafts. As borders open up and the surge in demand to travel continues, lessors have the opportunity to play an even bigger role in helping airlines adjust their fleet sizes to match requests, enabling them to focus on what they do best. Many thanks to this year’s organizers Aviation News – the team at Citco are looking forward to 2023! #AEDublin22 #GrowthFrontiers #AirlineEconomics #CitcoLeaders #TheCitcoWay

Timothy Mietus, Senior Executive Vice President of Innovation, Citco Technology Management, Inc. recently shared some insights into the importance of natural language processing (NLP) and asset servicing for future success. In this piece, Tim acknowledges the significant growth in Assets Under Administration (“AUA”) leading to an explosion in the amount of data being exchanged between funds and asset servicers, and how technology can help manage this and improve processes. However, he also highlights that, as an industry, the goal should be longer-term digitisation; it should be the aspiration for all participants to largely eliminate non-standard data and paper in future. On Sunday 1 May, the Citco team joined cyclists from across the world to cycle 40-miles through every borough of New York City in the Five Boro Bike Tour. Run in partnership with the City of New York, the Five Boro Bike Tour is a charitable ride that funds free bike education programs for New Yorkers, with more than 30,000 children and adults taking part in virtual skills classes in 2020 alone. Since 1977, the bike tour is a unique opportunity to experience the traffic free streets of New York to raise awareness and increase ridership amongst New Yorkers, and we’re delighted that our Citco cyclists were able to take part in such a fantastic event. #TheCitcoWay #CitcoCommunity
