Discussing the state of the European retail market and the advantages of the updated ELTIF framework, the event covered considerations around the rule changes and their impact on tax, valuations, lock up periods and distributions alongside other operational aspects. Over the years, Citco Loan Services’ client base has evolved as private credit has evolved – so in our recent fireside chat, Michael Peterson, Managing Director of Citco Capital Solutions Inc. spoke to Elaine Furnari, Senior Executive Vice President, Citco Loan Services (USA), Inc. about the broad range of asset classes we cover. At Citco, 50% of our portfolio are non-fund lenders, despite being one of the largest asset servicers in the alternative investment industry. In turn, we see a lot of general corporate finance – Commercial Real Estate (CRE), involving term loans and construction loans, bridge loans etc – across those asset classes, as the nature of the game revolves around a lot of specialty finance, including venture debt, real asset and infrastructure debt.
