In Singapore, pioneering female robotic surgeons from China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and India came together for the inaugural Asia Women in da Vinci Surgery Symposium. It was a moment to recognize and amplify the voices of women shaping the future of robotic surgery across the region. Asia is home to fast growing robotic programs in the world, and empowering women leaders here is vital to advancing minimally invasive care. Female surgeons in Asia face unique challenges—balancing the demands of healthcare, leadership, and cultural gender expectations—yet they continue to drive innovation and impact in their practices. Together, these women shared stories of resilience, strategies to navigate challenges, and the power of community. What began as a small U.S. gathering has become a global movement, and Asia is writing the next chapter.
In every operating room around the world, time is precious. A few extra minutes of setup could mean one less case on the schedule—or one more patient waiting for care. The da Vinci Handheld Camera from Intuitive was designed to simplify setup and support efficiency in the OR. How? By empowering surgeons to perform da Vinci cases from start to finish without relying on a separate laparoscopy tower. The Handheld Camera fully integrates with the da Vinci X, Xi, or SP vision cart already in the room. Less setup means more time for surgery. That’s Intuitive. That’s a wrap on the 10th hashtag#Intuitive360. In the past decade, so much has changed. Our technology has evolved alongside the needs of our customers and their patients. What hasn’t changed is our collective commitment to one shared goal: better care for all. We are honored to be joined on this enduring journey of innovation by executives, surgeon, and operational leaders all over the world—a global community of innovators who share our patients-first mindset and have dedicated their lives to advancing minimally invasive care. Thanks to our colleagues at American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN), and Becker's Healthcare for your invaluable, years-long collaboration. Here’s to another decade of Intuitive 360—and to the future of transforming healthcare, together.
Day one of our 10th hashtag#Intuitive360 event began with an inspiring tone. CEO, Dave Rosa, emphasized that while technology, such as robotics, is vital in our shared mission, it takes more than just technology to make a real impact on patient care. "The robot is necessary, but not enough. Your goal isn't just to own technology. Your goal is to deliver outstanding healthcare. Products, systems, and instruments are tools to achieve that. But it takes more. It takes support, services, and data analysis. It takes economics, training, and society alignment. That is the Intuitive ecosystem."
Join us September 24 for "Building Local Impact: Data-Driven Strategies to Grow and Empower Your WIDVS Network" with Drs. Irlna Tantchou and Jocelyn Carlo. They will share how they successfully launched local WIDVS groups, and their tips on how you can do the same. Let's continue to transform surgery, together.
Turning data into objective insights can help enable improved outcomes, enhanced efficiency, and an empowered care team. Discover how data-driven decision-making is transforming care in the latest episode of A Future of Firsts, our video series about surgeons who transform care with da Vinci. In this episode: Learn practical strategies from Prof. Jean-Marc Baste, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Rouen University Hospital, France and Prof. Enrico Vizza, Head of the Robotic Program at the Rome Cancer Center Regina Elena, Italy. Hear from the experts as they demonstrate how actionable insights are creating opportunities to elevate the quality of surgery, thereby enhancing patient outcomes. Watch now: https://lnkd.in/eNk7u-NP
Join us September 11 for an intriguing discussion with Dr. Adam Kurtin. He will share his experience with incorporating da Vinci colectomy into his busy general surgery practice. Register and invite your office or hospital admin to learn how da Vinci colectomy may help increase procedure volume, grow referral volume, and affect patient outcomes.
We’re excited to share that Forbes has named Intuitive as one of California’s Best Employers! Our Sunnyvale headquarters is where Intuitive began—but this recognition reflects the contributions of our teams around the world. In engineering labs, on manufacturing floors, working alongside hospital care teams, it's our people who turn challenges into progress for surgeons and their patients. “I’m proud to be part of a culture that offers so much opportunity and demands so much heart—because the problems we’re solving affect people’s lives,” said Pat Wadors, our Chief Human Resources Officer. “This honor reflects how we show up for each other: ready to collaborate, fiercely committed to doing meaningful work, and innovating every day. Innovation draws talent—and keeps it. At Maria Middelares Hospital in Belgium, adding the da Vinci SP surgical system to their existing portfolio of robotic systems helped elevate their surgical reputation—attracting patients and next-generation talent. Surgeons choose to work at hospitals that enable them to advance what’s possible in minimally invasive care. With da Vinci SP, surgeons can perform fully robotic procedures through one incision, articulating 360° inside the body without redocking or clashing arms. But da Vinci SP does more than just simplify surgery. It also empowers innovative surgeons to test ideas, reach complex anatomy, publish new data, and build careers that matter.
