π« Our very own "Virtual Power Ranger," Greg Jackson was featured in Forbes today, detailing how Octopus Energy (powered by Kraken) is spreading its tentacles to Texas virtual powerplants and demand response. π¬ Speaking about Kraken: "Jackson describes Kraken's flexible platform as 'like at a supermarket, with buy-one-get-one-free, so many discounts and bargains...What Kraken has allowed us to do is to try many things. And consumerize them,' says Jackson. Your electric plan can be as basic as a set price per kilowatt hour. But if you don't mind taking commodity risk, Octopus will sell you power under dynamic tariffs β where you pay whatever the spot market price is that day (within set limits)." Our CEO, Greg Jackson, was featured on CNBC today, highlighting our placement on the hashtag#Disruptor50 list for 2024. π π "We have this massive intelligence platform called Kraken, and what Kraken does is it matches the time we charge an electric vehicle, we automatically control the charging by interfacing directly with the car or the charger. And we can fill a car with enough power to do 100 miles for $3. In Europe and in the UK, that would cost $20 or more if you were using gasoline." Check out the rest of Greg's profile below π
