At our General Meeting Shareholders unanimously approved the appointment of Anouska Ramsay, Chief People and Transformation Officer, as an Executive Director of the Company’s Board of Directors. This appointment reflects the significant impact Anouska has made since joining the Company in March 2024 and underscores the Board’s commitment to fostering a strong organisational culture and driving transformational change. The formal business also included unanimous shareholder approval of the Company’s strategic business plan and budget, alongside endorsement to expand its footprint at its home in Wolverhampton. Welcoming Anouska’s appointment, LGPS Central Ltd Chair, Joanne Segars, said: “I welcome Anouska’s appointment to the Board of LGPS Central. It reflects the Board’s belief that talent, culture, and leadership are fundamental to long-term success. As we rise to the challenge of delivering the Government’s Fit for the Future agenda alongside our Partner Funds, a strong board focused on the needs of our shareholders and clients will be critical. I look forward to working alongside Anouska to deliver that goal.” Anouska Ramsay said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of LGPS Central Limited. I am delighted to be stepping onto the Board to ensure the team’s successful delivery of this.”
We received a joint letter from Ministers Torsten Bell and Jim McMahon OBE, confirming that the Government approves of the plan submitted by the Company with the support of our Partner Funds and gives the green-light for the plan to proceed. The letter described the LGPS Central Limited transition plan as detailed, comprehensive, and aligned with the overarching ambition of the Fit for the Future consultation on the LGPS. Ministers also praised the deepening collaboration with Partner Funds and welcomed our strong focus on local investment and openness to welcoming new Partner Funds. We will continue to work closely with our Partner Funds to deliver on this ambition. We thank them for their collaborative approach and commitment to securing the best possible outcomes for the future of the LGPS Central Pool and its members.
