When the rhythm is right, the team’s culture shines bright! ✨ And the Japanese HR, IT and comms teams had great rhythm during this recent team-building activity! The session kicked off with a pottery class, where everyone rolled up their sleeves and got their hands messy. Later, they dove into a Taiko (Japanese drum) class 🥁 Powered by the beat of don-don doko-don, the team found their groove and created awesome music 🎶 What a fun way to connect with coworkers!
What happens when you focus on the things that matter most – like happy customers, engaged employees and a culture of innovation? You attract the best customers, the best employees and the best partners, and they drive stronger business outcomes, better solutions and greater impact. The Wall Street Journal has released its ranking of the Top 250 Best Managed Companies of 2024, and we earned an even higher spot on the list this year. Thank you to everyone who contributes to our continued success!
Let's set the tone for an amazing weekend, shall we? Prologis is one of The Wall Street Journal's top 10 companies for employee engagement...but we're the only one that, in Hamid's words, "nobody has heard of." The Wall Street Journal decided to dive deep to uncover the culture of autonomy, innovation and risk-taking that landed our little-known company on their radar for employee engagement, and ultimately, on their list of 250 Best-Managed Companies of 2023, developed by The Drucker Institute. Click this link to read from Hamid Moghadam, Nathaalie Carey, Art Makris, Sarah Rutherford and Jennifer Nelson about how Prologis employees feel trusted and empowered to make their own decisions:
Our teams had an incredible time celebrating PRIDE last month, immersing themselves in activities that celebrated the theme, "Our Pride, Our Prologis." An insightful global panel discussion featured hashtag#PrologisPrideNetwork (PPN) member stories about embracing their identity at Prologis and beyond. Employees created beautiful works of art and learned about the LGBTQIA+ community. Our Tokyo team even welcomed LGBTQIA+ inclusivity expert Ayumu Horikawa to discuss how to be an ally in the workplace! PPN chose to donate to Free Mom Hugs, which advocates for equality for the LGBTQIA+ community by providing resources, education and support at community events. Launch day has arrived – our 2023-2024 ESG Report is live! A colossal round of applause for the 15 remarkable individuals who won the annual CRE Scholarship for Women and Underrepresented Professionals from NAIOP and Prologis! Our team enjoyed getting to know some of you this week at #ICONWest! “Supporting and encouraging this rising group of commercial real estate professionals not only benefits their futures but also our companies’ futures as we seek to attract and retain top talent,” said Kim Snyder, executive director with Prologis and immediate past NAIOP chair. As part of the program, each recipient will have the opportunity to earn the NAIOP Certificate of Advanced Study in Commercial Real Estate Development, delivered through courses in NAIOP’s The Center for Education, at no cost.
Shout out to the ladies on our Phoenix team who volunteered with St. Mary's Food Bank in honor of Women’s History Month! They were able to pack 3,168 Emergency Food Boxes for families in need, creating a positive impact on the lives of neighbors across Arizona.
We have brought on some very talented landscapers to work on our Moissy Chevrons park – and they are the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time). They’re also actual goats and sheep. Eco-grazing is a technique that involves leveraging herbivores to maintain outdoor areas. This natural method eliminates noise and air pollution, minimizes green waste, benefits soil quality and enhances biodiversity. And kudos to the RECX Manager and Facilities Manager, who brought this project to life!
