Sunday, January 28, was International Reducing CO2 Emissions Day, an important reminder of our responsibility to protect the planet and tackle climate change. At Straumann Group, we strongly support the worldwide transition to a zero-carbon economy. In 2023 we made considerable progress toward this goal. Ready to catch a glimpse? In 2023 we increased the proportion of electricity sourced from renewable energy from 80 to 93%. And we strive to reach 100% by the end of 2024. Interested in learning more about what we achieved in 2023 and how we move forward on our sustainability journey? On February 27, we will publish the sustainability report 2023. At Straumann Group, we understand the importance of reducing our carbon footprint. That’s why we have set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with climate science and a 1.5°C trajectory. Our goal is to reach net-zero emissions by 2040. To get there, we are committed to reducing 42% of our scope 1 and 2 emissions and 25% of scope 3 emissions by 2030. This target has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. #Sustainability #Progress #ClimateAction #RaceToZero
