As we conclude this year’s Black History Month spotlight series, we celebrate the transformative power of storytelling and the arts in advancing social change. This week, Tracey Massey, a Director on our Investor and Rating Agency team in the Charlotte office, honors Dr. Maya Angelou—a literary icon and activist whose words have empowered generations to overcome adversity and embrace their identity. Tracey reflects on the enduring impact of Dr. Angelou’s work: “She stands out as a poet, author, and civil rights activist whose work reaches generations and cultures. Her memoir and poetry gave a strong voice to Black women and encouraged others to find strength in their identity. Her activism and compassion inspire me to support fairness, inclusion, and to uplift those around me.” Thank you, Tracey, for sharing how Dr. Angelou’s legacy continues to motivate and uplift. As we honor a century of Black history commemorations, may this month continue to remind us of the power of storytelling, recognition, and unity.

As Black History Month continues, we are sharing team member spotlights who have answered the question “Whose contributions from Black history have inspired you, and why?” This week, we turn our attention to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose vision for justice and equality continues to resonate globally. Leonardo Wayne Ventus Jr., an Executive Director on our Credit and Asset Management team in Concord, shares how Dr. King’s legacy has influenced his own approach to community and leadership: “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has inspired me since I first heard his speeches. He reminds us of our strong history of accomplishment and the importance of equity and inclusion. Dr. King taught us to fight for equality and against injustice for all, always in a peaceful way. I strive to honor his legacy and contribute to my community.” Thank you, Wayne, for highlighting the enduring relevance of Dr. King’s message. #BlackHistoryMonth2026 #TeamTrimont
As we celebrate Black History Month at Trimont, we take this opportunity to honor the stories, leaders, and cultural legacies that have influenced our communities, our workplaces, and the world at large. This year’s theme, "A Century of Black History Commemorations," marks 100 years of dedicated efforts to uplift Black history, strengthen identity, inspire pride, and advance equality. Throughout February, we are continuing our spotlight series tradition by featuring weekly reflections from Trimont colleagues on Black historical figures who have inspired them. To start, Marissa B., an Associate Director in Credit and Asset Management in our Atlanta office, honors Dorothy Height—a pivotal leader in the Civil Rights Movement. “Dorothy Height, often called the godmother of the Civil Rights Movement, dedicated her life to advocating for Black women. She worked behind the scenes—building coalitions, mentoring young women, and ensuring Black women’s voices were heard. Her persistence and strategic leadership remind me of the sacrifices and steady strength that continue to move things forward today.” Thank you, Marissa, for sharing how Dorothy Height’s legacy continues to inspire you! #BlackHistoryMonth2026 #TeamTrimont

Yesterday marked an exciting milestone for Trimont as we officially opened the doors to our new Charlotte, North Carolina office—welcoming a full house of colleagues and senior leaders for a memorable ribbon cutting celebration.
