#Juneteenth is tomorrow! It’s celebrated on June 19th each year and is the oldest known holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. “Every year, we must remind successive generations that this event triggered a series of events that one by one defines the challenges and responsibilities of successive generations. That’s why we need this holiday.” —Al Edwards, an American politician & civil rights leader who helped make Juneteenth a Holiday. There are different ways that people celebrate the day, including parades, marches, and barbecues. This year we encourage our #WUEmployees to celebrate freedom by serving in their communities. So how will you celebrate Juneteenth? Click here to learn more about Juneteenth.
