At Wireless Zone, giving back is at the heart of what we do. During our recent convention, we proudly donated $5,000 to K9 Heroes for Heroes from our charity 5K, supporting their mission to provide service dogs to veterans and first responders. We also celebrated Neil Ryan and Scott Gladstone’s team with an $80,000 donation, honoring their continued dedication to community giving. Their team has now donated an incredible $500,000 to nonprofits since 2011! Today on International Day of Charity, we’re inspired by the impact we can make together.
We’ve kicked off our Wireless Zone convention in Orlando, FL, by hearing from some great speakers, including Wireless Zone VP of Sales Al Pellecchia and Lieutenant Colonel Waldo Waldman. We partnered with Hunger Fight, a nonprofit that actively helps fight food insecurity, and packed nutritious meals for local children. To finish off the evening, we recognized the outstanding achievements of our team at a special awards ceremony and fireworks show.
Thank you for making our 2025 backpack giveaway a success! On Sunday, July 27, our stores gave thousands of free backpacks to students around the country. Plus, we crowned our Stuff the Bus winner. During the month of June, five school finalists around the country competed to win a bus full of school supplies. The community that collected the most donations received a bus full of supplies, and all 5 finalists received the school supplies collected during their respective drive.

At Wireless Zone, giving back is built into the DNA of our business, and we like to extend that opportunity to our customers, too. Through our Get10Give10 program, we randomly select customers to win $10,000 for themselves, plus they get an additional $10,000 to donate to a nonprofit of their choice. We are proud to have partnered with amazing animal rescue organizations for our Rescues Rock community giveback event. Stores around the country hosted in-store pet adoption events, plus we gave away $50,000 to three amazing nonprofits.
We announced that we were going to give one animal rescue organization a $10,000 grant through our Rescues Rock contest. Surprise! We couldn’t choose just one winner. All three finalists received a grant to help fund their amazing causes. Yesterday, our team grabbed their sneakers and showed up for the Best Buddies Friendship Walk. We walked to champion inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and raised over $6,000 for Best Buddies. We are so proud to stand with this organization and our Best Buddies employee, RJ Z.!
