Adaptive learning, because one-size-fits-only-one! aNewSpring tracks the ‘digital footprint’ of each learner enabling the system to adapt and create a specific learning route, with specific learning content for each individual learner.
In the past, we mainly emphasized on the technology of our platform, how it was smart and adaptive. And while we are still proud of this, the focus has slightly moved towards the fact that we are part of a community which helps people learn. Together with our customers, partners and like-minded learning professionals, we are making sure that the learners benefit from our joint expertise and efforts. If you feel your expertise will add to this, have a see whether we have any job openings that would suit your strengths.
Teamwork pays off! On February 16, 2023: BSL and aNewSpring won bronze at the LPI Learning Impact Awards. The only Dutch nomination to get one of the much prized awards. The research that Bohn Stafleu van Loghum and aNewSpring did together on the impact of adaptive learning was well received in London.
One of our interns, a student of Communication Multimedia and Design told me once that some of her fellow students were literally making copies and serving coffee at their place of internship. This shocked me. Interns at aNewSpring are with us to learn! Interns, working students and trainees alike are given plenty of responsibility, to not just learn more about their field, but also about what it entails to work in a team, to work with deadlines, to see how their expertise fits in a bigger picture. This is not just great for our interns, but for us as well. As many of them decided to stay with us after their internship. To mention a few: our Chief Customer Officer Stefan, our UX Researcher Gerthilde and our Product Owner Rik all started as interns, and now hold key positions at aNewSpring. At this moment we have a trainee programme in place in our Macedonian DevOps team and we hope to keep these colleagues with us just as long. Interested in an internship at aNewSpring? Send us an email via work@anewspring.nl and we’ll see if there’s a fit within one of our teams.
At LinkedIn I write a series called '101 reasons' where I explain what the great things of working at aNewSpring are. Here's a repost of one of these blogs: Not 'a 101' today, but a whole bunch. And not from my point of view this time, but from all my colleagues' ;) David van Throo set out a survey a while back and asked everyone "What would be a reason for you to rejoin aNewSpring, having all the knowledge about the company you have right now?" There were no replies to choose from, everyone was free to write whatever as their response. This is what we got back: 38.5% of our colleagues would rejoin aNewSpring if they had to choose again today, because of our Culture. And 30.8% for us, the People that make aNewSpring. The other reasons would be: - My role, - Flexibility & freedom, - Our customers, - Transparency. Quite a nice bunch of reasons, não?
