As a Geotechnical Advisor at TMC, you will work as a specialist in geotechnics on diverse projects. You will be responsible for advising clients on the geotechnical aspects of projects, conducting soil investigations, and drafting geotechnical reports. You will collaborate with engineering firms, contractors, and (semi-)government agencies to find technical solutions for complex challenges. You will have the opportunity to work on projects in both the private and public sectors, including infrastructure projects, road and bridge construction, as well as hydraulic and civil engineering works. The variety of projects gives you the chance to further expand your knowledge and experience.
What we expect from you
As a Geotechnical Advisor at TMC, you work on diverse projects that challenge your knowledge and skills. You have well-developed analytical abilities and know how to translate geotechnical issues into practical solutions. You already have experience in civil engineering and are looking for the next step in your career. In addition, we ask for the following:
- Proficiency in the Dutch language at C1/C2 level, both spoken and written.
- A completed HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (University Education) degree in civil engineering, geotechnics, or a comparable field of study.
- Experience as a Geotechnical Advisor within civil engineering, for instance in road construction, hydraulic engineering, infrastructure, or the construction sector.
- You have knowledge of geotechnical software and methods and have experience with conducting geotechnical investigations.
- You possess excellent communication skills and can work both independently and as part of a team.
- You have a proactive work attitude, are eager to learn, and show initiative.
