RidgeWorth Capital Management (aka RidgeWorth Investments) oversees some $35 billion of assets for institutional investors in the US. Much of that total is invested on behalf of mutual funds, including the RidgeWorth Funds (formerly STI Classic) family of funds, to which the company acts as an advisor. Public funds and not-for-profit entities such as endowments, foundations, and trade associations account for about half of assets under management. To a lesser extent, the company also serves health care and insurance firms, labor unions, and high-net-worth individuals. RidgeWorth is a subsidiary of SunTrust Banks, which has some 1,700 branches in the Southeast.
