    Lots of opportunities to progress, will always hire in-house where possible.

    You get to meet some nice people and work with interesting products.

    Unpaid compulsory "boot camps" (training sessions)
    Not paid overtime.
    Forced to buy their products with no uniform allowance, especially when the guidelines are so strict.
    Use scare tactics to make girls bend over backwards to keep their job.
    Insidious things happening behind closed doors.
    Workplace bullying stemming from competition.
    Forced to look sexy to sell.
    Forced to be pushy and over the top towards customers.
    Don't even try to report bullying to the state manager, she will either- ignore, or blame you.
    Put down if you don't look sexy enough.
    Told you are replaceable and lucky to have the position.
    Constantly accused of not doing well enough.
    Manager reduces your hours for you reason, even though i was the best seller- stemming from jealousy.
    Don't work here unless you want to be stressed ALL the time- over a retail job....

    You wouldn't listen anyway, because you're money hungry cooperate robots, but you need someone to be watching and reviewing the bullying happening in the stores. Communication is so important and if there was some way of enforcing a fair method to keep watch over the stores, such as someone objective, visiting and making sure that things are running smoothly, and not just talking to the manager, but asking the other honeys too.

    Minpunten

    Told to flirt with male customers and "sell them the fantasy" but the store is marketed as "empowering women"
    Store Managers told by higher ups to "dangle the carrot" of a promotion to casual staff to make them work harder and sell more.
    Extremely competitive environment with store managers stealing customers
    Super high individual budgets that are not achievable in a three hour shift.
    Cult-like/ brainwashing mentality from managers- the CEO can do no wrong and we should kiss the ground she walks on.
    Only want to hire naive under 25 year olds so that they can be molded to reflect the HB ideals.
    Manipulative sales tactics are taught.
    Required to attend mandatory training in capital cities without pay and if you did not attend your hours were cut.
    Passive aggressive managers.
    Ridiculed and berated by former staff who then report back to CEO about casual staff who may not have had enough training.
    Required to be 30 minutes early to a shift and stay until everything in store is spotless.
    So many unpaid hours.
    An updated work wardrobe is demanded every season and you're required to wear three items per shift.
    Reimburse your staff when they purchase stock for work- not reimbursing them is illegal under federal law.
    Allow your staff proper breaks and don't expect your staff to work a ten hour shift at short notice during Christmas Trading. A Sunday shift without a break for the toilet is uncomfortable and dangerous to your health.

    Be kind to your staff and pay them properly.
    Remove the policy of "find your own replacement" for shifts that causal's who may be sick and cannot work.
    Get a store budget and stop naming and shaming your staff in the weekly report, people have bad sales weeks, doesn't mean everyone in the company should know about it.
    CEO needs to quit playing favourites with a small and select group of staff.
    Appreciate your staff when they cut their holidays short, are called in at short notice and stop manipulating them into working when they're not available.
    Listen to your staff when a complaint of sexual harassment or mental health issues are made. Working with so much pressure when suffering from anxiety is bad enough without being ridiculed.

    Company does not know how to run a bushiness internationally, was handed forms to fill out that were supposed to be filled out for Australian ''honeys'' whilst also having to fill out a time sheet so you get paid.
    They insist on their staff to wear their lingerie INCLUDING their bras- which are still expensive with discount even if they do not go up to your size!
    Catty environment, other staff try and take over your customers so they can reach their daily target (especially if you're new)
    0 hour contract, most shifts are late shifts, ( not ideal if you dont like eating dinner late) if you're a casual they will RARELY give you long day time shifts unless needed to cover.
    They insist staff have to wear their hosiery, which is very poor quality. You are unable to get refund or an exchange on them, Yet have to buy stockings or hold ups a countless amount of times
    Have to wear red lipstick, eyeliner, polished nails and also have to wear stiletto heels hours on end

    Prepare the company in order to progress internationally.

    The best reason I can think of to work at honey birdette is so you are able to warn others not to work there

    Minpunten

    Everything, managers and CEO are completely useless, they bully, they put you in extremely difficult moral positions. There is no support in this job, make 1 mistake like speak up and they watch you like a hawk. Before they even hire you they are plotting your replacement, even though you're probably replacing someone. If you're sexually harassed or bullied you will get no support and only harassment for asking for any. No cameras instore, I heard of staff being assault in store luckily I wasn't.     Install cameras. Stop bullying staff, share store targets instead of individual targets. Update policies, educate staff about your products please!

    * you are easily replaceable
    * as an assistant manager you have no more rights then a casual and if they don't like you, you will get rostered with less hours for no reason.
    * they can drop you from working 21 hrs to 3 with no explanation.
    * if you arnt making money or reaching your budget it is 100% your fault even if you had no customers walk through your door!
    * you will go through a large number of area managers and store managers.
    * the store manager will get also get the blame if the store isn't reaching budget.
    * there is absolutely no training other then bra fitting.
    * if you have trouble meeting budget they will tell you to try harder and then roster you on with less hours.
    * sometimes you will not have an area manager so your point of contact is your national manager. Most of the time she will not answer the phone or reply back to your emails even if they regard work place bullying.
    * there is no HR system. if you have a problem with your manager or area manager or national manager there is no where else to go about it.
    * your team members will take your sales including your manager. Then you get the blame for not meeting budget thus have your job threatened.
    * They will knowingly roster you on with a team member you don't get along with.
    * you have "boot camps" (team meetings) every few months that go for about 3 hrs that are unpaid. Sometimes they are located an hour away.
    * they promote sexual harassment. example one area manager told another team member to "find a guy to use the easy beat egg on, otherwise how else will you know how to sell it"
    * they willingly hire a new team member just so the casual will loose hours making her to work a 3 hour a week roster forcing her to quit.
    * They only call you when you are not making budget and then not help you or give advice. They ask "how are you going to change this".
    * they promote unhealthy teams by putting a manager to a casuals role with 3 hrs a week and replacing her management role.
    * only the flagship stores win the incentives
    * when a store has a "champagne day" the manager has to supply the champagne with her own money.
    * your manager will get a customer to watch you work and report back to her
    *the dress code is also ridiculous
    * you can only wear red or nude nail polish
    * your manager will get her friends to act as customers and email the head office about her "great customer service skills"
    * when your an assistant manager you will get 21 hrs a week then they will drop you to 15 because you have to share your hours with other team members when they hire too many people. They will then swap your position to another team member and she will then get 24hrs and you will get less. As you question it they tell you that, that person makes more money then you yet there is no evidence of that.
    * you will get pressured into buying the toys as they will tell you that you won't know the benefits without owing one.

    * they only care about the staff in head office or the flagship stores.
