- Product-market fit in frontier markets has a long way to go
- In the recruiting process they tell you that there is no micro-managing culture, this is not correct. There is a heavy emphasis on the amount of calls you need to hit per day. So be advised that managers will ask you how many calls you will do per day/ per week. Too little emphasis on output
- All supporting roles (customer success, implementation, ...) are overwhelmed or underperforming. Get ready to handle customer complaints on a daily basis. --> The company is overhiring sales and underinvesting in the supporting roles
- Very high turnover, 200+% in 2 years for my geo
- Internal feedback often falls on deaf ears
- There's a serious lack of international collaboration --> we often re-invent the wheel
- US tries to simply copy-paste what works for them in frontier markets. Management is sometimes clueless as to why things don't work.
