The Company is the centre of favouritism. All the managers often share kudos, congratulations and positive feedback. But don't trust the feedback in the company because people, especially managers, stab you in the back. They always say "Hard work and dedication are not key to success in the company". I totally agree. You should put yourself in some pictures and spend coffee time with high-level people instead of work. Nobody asks for your contribution, but they ask for your networking. Your success in the company definitely depends on your capability as an ass-kisser. Some people from outside of the Euro show favouritism. It is not important your knowledge or skills. There is only way to be successful as developer you have to be from In... :)
