They use intimidation tactics when you are sick more than 3 times a year. Doesn't matter if this is because of the flu or if you broke your leg, after your 3 strikes you're summoned to the manager to explain yourself for your bad behavior.
In the years that I had worked here, the amount of booking requests had quadrupled. Our team was mostly the same, adding about 3 or 4 people to do 4 times the work. There were unrealistic deadlines to respond to hundreds of emails a day, and close to a 1000 phonecalls daily with around 8 people. If you spend too much time on one case/booking/problem, you are immediately reprimanded for taking too long. Because of this work atmosphere, there is a lot of stress and you find yourself typing e-mails and answering phone calls at the same time, which takes away from the quality of service and pushes you further and further away from wanting to work hard for this employer.
Raises never happened. Nobody on the team even got inflation correction, and if you ask for a raise it's always the same "we don't have possibilities for that right now".
When quitting and explaining my reasons for quitting, they made sure to tell me not to give negative reviews in exchange for a letter of recommendation. Shows how important image is to them, but also shows that they know they're lacking as an employer.
They did give me some flowers when I left. That's why I gave them a star more.
