Pluspunten
My colleagues are great, they've been nothing but kind and comprehensive with me in this tumultuous experience of moving abroad to a new continent. The pace of work seems good (I've only been here for a week). And the office is indeed very charming.
Minpunten
Companies love words such as diversity and inclusion, but I don't think they really understand what it means. It's not just about the colour of your skin, it's also the different economical backgrounds of individuals from different countries. I too believe it's "fair" to offer the same package to everyone in the office, but at the same time, I know that people, specially from third world countries (a concept they don't seem to grasp because they assume everyone has the same level of accessibility, no matter how many times I try to explain this), have different needs. Instead of feeling contained during this process, I've been feeling left out in the cold. My problems don't matter because, at the end of the day, it's "fair", right?
