San Diego Office (focus is designing power source machines for semiconductor "scanners" or lithography machines that are mainly built in the Netherlands): Great people, and alignment on the way of work with the HQ in the Netherlands. I transferred from San Diego to San Jose and would go back to San Diego. I had a more positive experience there. -Company culture: -The San Diego office is very international, from the scientists to management. A lot of work is affiliated with team in the Netherlands, so some alignments and meetings are very early in the morning to accommodate the European time zone. -In San Jose, one of the acquisitions was a Taiwanese company, so the culture certainly dominates. There is also an ASML branch in Taiwan, so a lot of work and meetings are very late in the afternoon/evening to accommodate the Taiwanese time zone.

Minpunten

San Jose Office (focus is semiconductor inspection machines and associated SW applications): The office is a merger of two ASML acquisitions that still have different ways of work and are fairly siloed. ASML San Jose remains on a different ERP platform than the HQ and other U.S. locations. Because of this, there are a lot of manual work arounds. -Promotional opportunities are available, but are mainly in the Netherlands. A lot of people do move back and forth to different locations around the world for opportunities ... this could be a pro if you're a traveler.

Toxic environment. Selective enforcement, antisemitic DEI culture, tattle tale rat snitch employees, managers play favorites, managers move the goal post after you were supposed to earn a salary increase. too many foreigners in management and not enough americans. DEI is a joke and is run by a racist black women. Company will burn you and punish you for problems someoen else created and punish you for it despite no power to fix the issue yourself.
