Old-school culture focused in "never be satisfied with results", which is not a bad thing if you sell it in the right way, like talking about a "continuous improvement" way of working. Another important thing is the preparation for the work, where it's all up to you and many times you don't get help of others to learn how to do your job succcesfully, many tools are left in the way and it makes much more effort to get things done.
