Pluspunten
Global company in a growing and interesting industry with a great product line and growth opportunities. There is a lot to learn and experience. If you get in to the right group with good manager or VP it is a great place to work. The flexible work environment, work-life balance (although this aspect has been fading in recent years), and support for family time are really great. Employee training and focus on developing skills is also a great reason to work at Autodesk.
Minpunten
Limited opportunities for advancement with promotions very dependent on the group you are in. If you have the good fortune to be in a group that is not crowded you have a greater chance to being promoted then in larger groups. This has more impact on your prospects then if you are qualified and have a great track record. Usually the best strategy is to move teams but this can be tricky. The internal politics around products and revenue associated with products is a little tired it feels like you are in competition with other divisions more then with other competitors. Layoffs, restructuring, and "doing more with less" are taxing employee morale and turning Autodesk into just another place to work and not something special.
