Pluspunten
When people hear you work for Booz Allen in the DC area, they automatically know you work for a prestigious consulting firm. Their benefits are nice, especially the fact that BAH contributes 10 percent of your salary to a retirement account without the need to match their contribution. The young environment makes it easy for young people to meet others like them with similar interests if they are able to visit BAH facilities frequently. Those stuck 100 percent on client site might not have this same experience.
Minpunten
Client service is a big part of the BAH culture and sometimes late nights are warranted and other times they are not. Managers, in my opinion, need to do a better job of managing client expectations when it comes to unreasonable requests late in the night. Compensation seems to be lower than average among the other consulting companies in the DC area. Negotiating salary when coming into BAH seems to be a good method of getting paid more fairly but generally friends at other consulting firms with the same or less experience than me seem to be getting paid a lot more.
